Falling For You: Love and Valentines Day

Ready for Valentines Day? Here's a little inspiration to get you going:

This worked so well with the TGIF Sketch Challenge this week:
Perhaps you don't have one special person yet: Don't fret! This could also be a wedding or anniversary card, just by switching out the greeting (also included in the stamp set) and it's fun that there are matching sentiments for each greeting to put on the inside (or as a "tag line" under the flourishing font of the main greeting).

Welcoming Fall: A Good Reason to Send a Card

Do you think you need to wait for a special occasion to send a handmade card? Forget that! Don't the most delightful surprises come at the most UNEXPECTED times? You are always looking for a Valentine or Birthday card, but wouldn't it be more fun to get one of these...just because it's fall?https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6ayDVkGE0aMY0tKNmdIQjFPcE0/view?usp=sharing
Original card by Janice O'Quinn Urke

I can't decide if I love this sweet autumnal greeting because of the rich texture or the little stamped leaves on the ground most...to create your own, download the .pdf tutorial by clicking on the card!

Tuesday Tutorial: Bloomin' Blendabilities

Time for another confession: I wasn't sure that I wanted to try the Blendabilities Markers by Stampin' Up! ....  you see, I'm a pretty simple stamper and they looked like "too much work". But I am so delighted I tried them because alcohol based markers are SO very versatile I'm discovering!

Here's just one fun way to use these new markers: Emboss a stamped image using white embossing powder on black paper and use your Blendabilities to color the embossed image! This appeals to me because I don't need to be careful...I can color over the black paper and it doesn't show up, so easy-peasy crafting for Loni ;)

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6ayDVkGE0aMVVFRc1Roc3UxNHc/edit?usp=sharing
Another fun thing about this card...I used an embossing folder to "stamp" the flowers on the front! Click on photo or HERE to download a printable tutorial!

Like Pringles, I couldn't stop with just one, so here's another version of Bloomin' Blendabiliteswe made at my last Blend with Friends Class...if you missed it, make sure to register for the next one

(like the stars? A sneak peek from the Holiday Catalog...coming August 28th)

Let Nothing Go to Waste

After creating a few Valentine Samplers with my Stampin' Family and stamp clubs, I had a few of these squares left over:

Since I couldn't let them go to waste (quilters and scrapbookers, you know what I mean, right?) I had to repurpose them and use them somehow. So I created some simple Valentines for my kids:

This trio of bunnies are too adorable for words and I've been looking for an excuse to use them, so I combined sketch #78 from the Freshly Made Sketches blog and the color inspiration on my Creative Juice by Loni Facebook page...and it turned out so sweet! A Way with Words

Sometimes words just speak for themselves: That's how I feel about the new "Feel Goods" stamp set in the Spring Catalog! The quotes are uplifting and positive, and don't we each know someone who could use a little encouragement or appreciation? The challenge is sometimes how to create the card with words as the focal point. Here's one idea I wanted to share with you today:

Shimmer & Shine

If I were a drinker (I'm not), I would try champagne just because I love the name. Come on, say it with me: "SHAM-PANE". Champage, Champage, Champage...say it three times and click your heels together and you'll be taken to a wonderful castle in a cloud! Okay, maybe not, but drink in this beautiful card created with the Champagne Glimmer Paper (Item 127885) and Very Vanilla card stock (this week's color challenge over at Create with Connie and Mary~CCMC230):
Must say I adore how the Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon (Item 122332) matches so beautifully, tying all the elegant elements together :) I used the Stripes embossing folder (Item 123128) for the background, used the Label Collection Framelits to cut the focal points and embossed the New Year's single stamp (Item 132336) in gold. This stamp is fabulous because you can use it year after year. I'll be using this card for many upcoming events!

Check out more of the single stamps by clicking on the link on the right (only available through January 2, 2013) and of course, the Clearance Rack Blitz!
