Stampin' Supplies

One of the things I love about the Stampin' Up! Catalog is that it's really an IDEA BOOK: It's a springboard for your creativity! I will look through it when I need inspiration and sometimes I change colors/stamps to make it an "original" and other times I copy the ideas exactly (who wants to waste brain cells?).

If you have already received a new 2009 Spring/Summer Idea Book & Catalog, you may have noticed the Stampin' Supplies section isn't included~we've added MORE creative supplies into the catalog and put the Stampin' Supply list online WITH PICTURES! Click on the link or picture to take you to my product page where you can download this great resource under "Current Promotions > Spring/Summer Stampin' Supplies"

NEED A 2009 Catalog? Call me to host a party and get one FREE! You may also purchase one for $5 or get one FREE when you place an order through my SU! website between February 1-April 30, 2009.

Do Some Good (as you shop for groceries)

Do you have an Albertson's card? Here's an opportunity to "Do Some Good" while you shop! Link your Albertson's card to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) by February 28 and Albertson's will donate up to 4% of every grocery purchase toward finding a cure for Juvenile Diabetes.

Visit http://www.albertsonscp.com for instructions on how to do this! The "organization number" for JDRF is 49000115095

This will make Kayson very happy!

Love Stories Flip Album

This is the Flip Album we'll be making in St. George this weekend...it was super fun to create and now I just need some pictures to finish it off for Valentine's Day. If you are making one this weekend, bring 8-10 pictures and you can easily finish it in 2 hours or less, giving you time to scrapbook more while you are there!

Do you think we should have a class for this in Spanish Fork?? Let me know if you'd be interested (the cost is $16).

Object Lesson

Just before Christmas, Kayson got a hold of a big (read: illegal) firework and convinced his dad that it would be a great "object lesson" as the "star of Bethlehem". So after reading the Christmas story from Luke 2 on Christmas Eve, the two partners-in-crime tell the rest of the family to meet them in the valley below our house in 5 minutes. After the object lesson, we should "drive home and deny any knowledge if questioned." We dutifully follow in the aforementioned time lapse, but low and behold...EVERYONE is driving along this normally deserted road on Christmas Eve in a snow flurry like like you've never seen before. DH says, "Let's try the quarry". We follow behind them and I'm watching the huge turbines in the mouth of the canyon spin around as the wind rushes through (totally cool, by the way). The boys pull over on the normally-deserted-road and I pull over behind them, turning on my hazards so that the crazy Christmas Eve traffic behind us won't run into our car as Kayson gets out of the jeep to check the wind (...he can't SEE the turbines??? DUH). Guess who the FIRST person behind us to stop is?? Yep, a friendly officer of the peace to make sure that everything is okay. (What do I say? Um, yeah...we were just checking to see if we could try setting off an illegal firework in this snowstorm...) Needless to say, I explain that I was just making sure my husband was okay in front of me (who is now driving away leaving me to explain to the police). He wishes us a Merry Christmas and we give up for another night (say perhaps New Year Eve??) Two words: Plausible Deniability.

Storage Solutions

For all my sisters (or brother-in-laws) who have to store "Seasonals": this storage system is so easy, even Mindi could do it (and you thought I was going to say a Caveman...). It can hold 1,000-1,200 pounds and costs less than $50! Watch the video below from my favorite morning TV: KSL Studio 5!
