Digi-Tastic Tuesday

I haven't put out many Halloween decorations this year since we are still getting settled in our new home, but this framed piece (created at Jill Olsen's stamp day in September) adorns the top of my piano today:

Created from the "Toxic Frameable" digital download for My Digital Studio
and embellished with some stamps, paper and ribbon, we call this a "hybrid" project: A combination of digital AND paper crafting! It makes me happy.

Guess what else makes me happy...and will make YOU happy too? Stampin' Up! is celebrating Digital Scrapbooking DAY with a WEEK'S worth of fun:
If you just can't wait until then, there are also NEW DIGITAL DOWNLOADS TODAY, since it's Tuesday!

Another Stamptacular Event!

There is something miraculous in putting ink to paper. I remember the first time I watched someone stamp a card and was WOWed by the entire process! Twenty years later, I'm still amazed at what you can do with a piece of card stock and an ink pad. That's me, above, at the Stamptacular event held in St. George at the beginning of March.
When stampers get together, we really love swapping...Kristi and Sally, two of the demonstrators in my Stitched Stampers family, are shown above as they swap some of the cute gifts they made during the demonstrator meeting. Kristi later demonstrated the cute box she swapped using the Movers and Shapers die for the Big Shot (just the right size to hold a giant candy bar!):
Sally showed us how to create "One-Eyed-Monsters" (with a mint patty in the middle):
Later in the day, we added some customers...here is Jeni C (right) and her mom at the Stamp-a-Stack card class making the cupcake birthday cards! Mom loved the Big Shot (who wouldn't?)
Sometimes we get lost in the rhythm of stamping and you tune out the world! It's a great feeling to create something beautiful, and Murlynn and Stacy demonstrate the proper focus here:
Next is the Nevada contingency...a really fun group of ladies who came from Mesquite and Las Vegas with Kristi! They really exemplified that "Stamping is more fun with a friend" and we loved having them with us:
And finally, Anne, Shae and Tina create the card keeper...we'll be making this soon in Spanish Fork, so watch for that event TBA soon! Shae was one little creative gal who could draw beautifully :)
My only regret was that I didn't get a shot of Sue, the photographer...next time, next time...

Filled with Love

A few years ago, I was on a date with my husband and a few other friends when another set of couples exited the restaurant we were at and we overheard this conversation between the two men:

Man #1: "Hey, that football game is on next Saturday...do you want to come over and watch it?"
Man #2: "Um, isn't that Valentine's day? I don't think my wife would go for that."
Man #3: "Really? Is Valentine's on the 14th this year?"

Just in case you missed it, Valentine's *IS* on February 14th this year (and last year, and next year...and the year after that...) and I'm here to help you show your love in the most creative ways :)

  • Create beautiful cards and gifts with the Stampin' Up! Filled With Love promotion (click on image above for more details). Free Bitty Button Offer good only through January 24th!
  • Plan to attend my Spanish Fork Valentine Stamp Camp on Friday, February 11th (10 a.m.) or Saturday, February 12th (1 p.m.). SAMPLES COMING SOON! You'll create a fabulous "flip" album for your Love Bird and a beautiful card/CD cover for you to..."say I Love You with a song". The cost is only $20 and space is limited! RSVP today: 801-376-8685

Love What You Do

"To love what we do
and share what we love,
as we help others enjoy creativity
and worthwhile accomplishments
...in this we make a difference!"
~Stampin' Up! Statement of the Heart

Having just returned from Stampin' Up! Leadership, I can truly say I LOVE WHAT I DO and I love sharing it with you :) Here are just a few things I loved about Leadership Conference in Phoenix, Arizona (aside from the weather being in the upper 60's) :

1. My new bag! Isn't it cute??  I have such a collection of cute bags from Stampin' Up! events :)

2. Make-n-Takes: Like a stamp camp for demonstrators! We oohed and aaahed over each one. L to R: Sue, Sherrill, Kristi, Judy and Loni. Now we have many new ideas to share with you!

3. The demonstrations and ideas that flowed from day to day! Every year I think "They can't show me anything I don't already know" and every year they prove me wrong (thank heavens!). There is always "fresh creativity" that astounds me...and keeps me coming back for more.

4. The FOOD is always spectacular at Leadership. They spoil us rotten and I *may* have eaten the extra one of these at our table on day at lunch...

5. Manager's Reception! This year it was a Mexican Theme complete with a Mariachi Band and Rodeo. What fun! Have I mentioned that Stampin' Up! now has a Spanish Catalog? I'm hoping one of my Spanish-speaking friends will join my Stampin' Family of demonstrators, soon (call me!).

6. Swapping and Sharing. Demonstrators bring stamped cards to trade and share. This is a great way to get lots of new ideas (but only have to come up with ONE yourself). This sample was actually shared by Shelli Gardner (CEO and founder) during one of her presentations.

Now that I've shared just a peek at all the fun we had at Leadership, let me invite you to come to CONVENTION with me in July...as a new Demonstrator in my Stampin' Family! During Sale-a-Bration (through March, 2010), our Starter Kits are 15% off AND you can choose any stamp set from the current catalogs FREE when you join! I'd love to have you come and enjoy the fun and creativity of Stampin' Up! with me in Salt Lake City this July, so call or e-mail so we can visit about this fantastic opportunity :)
