I added a little Crystal Effects on the chocolate and now it looks good enough to eat!
Now if you are a local (Utah County)...have you tried "The Chocolate" (a dessert cafe) in Orem? We just discovered it a few months ago and I can definitely recommend skipping dinner and just going for dessert...
And since we are chatting about chocolate, may I recommend a good book?
This is a wonderful new cookbook by Annette Lyon (who also writes LDS Fiction) and I can say that she really makes chocolate fun! I got to visit with her when she came to sign books a few months ago in our Deseret Book Store (where I have worked for 5 years) and I was so excited when this came out!
My Great-Grandmother Charlotte Jane Cole Grey's biography was titled "I'd Rather Read a Recipe Than A Book". I think the fact that I like to read recipes AND books comes from both Charlotte and Montrue, her daughter (my Grandma) who worked for years at the Dixie College bookstore... the love of books & cooking run in the family!
Since "I'm That Friend (Who Has Chocolate)" here's a chance to win some BLOG

My favorite chocolate indulgence is dove chocolate!!! That is one thing I will not ever give up no matter how much weight I want to lose!!
I'm so sad I didn't get one of your swaps in my cards. It looks beautiful. I'll just have to CASE it. As for chocolate, Costco has this amazing 7 layer chocolate cake. You wouldn't think a store bought cake could be that good, but I keep trying to invent excuses for me to buy one.
My favorite chocolate is my homemade chocolate fudge made using almond extract instead of vanilla ~ yum. Oh, have you ever tried Costco's peppermint bark during the holidays? It is awesome too. Enjoy following your blog even though I rarely comment. Thanks for the blog candy offer!
Oh goodness. I love chocolate of all kinds lol. I guess my favorite is those little truffles with cocoa powder on them from Ghiradelli's Yum!
I hadn't heard of that cafe in Orem. Crap, now I have to go see what it's all about lol.
I love the Eat Chocolate set. It was created with me in mind! I have to say I have yet to try a chocolate I didn't like...some better than others but all get finished! Thanks for the chance at some fun blog candy. jmniffer
death by chocolate ... favorite to make and eat ... find a tub and make two round choc cakes... then put one cake in the bottom of the tub... then layer on vanilla pudding, choc pudding, whip cream and crushed butter finger bar or choc bar of your choice then drop in the 2nd cake and layer again .. grab a big spoon and start scooping...
