Santa's Sleigh Vignette Card/Decor

Sometimes inspiration hits in the middle of the night and I can't sleep until I've written it down or created a prototype: That was certainly the case with this Wintery Christmas card that transforms into a tabletop decoration!

You don't need to lose sleep over it though, because here is the list of supplies you will need to create your own:

Arabian (or Moroccan) Nights: Lantern Card

We received the Moroccan Nights stamp set at OnStage in April and at first I was like, "ehhhh..." but then I decided that I was going to USE it and LOVE it!! I've been making myself experiment with it and WOW it's pretty versatile! I'll share a few of my creations AND a tutorial for my favorite so far :)

I stamped the large medallion as a background on this Flirty Flamingo card and then embossed the "Oh happy day" from the new Scenic Sayings set (that I won during Prize Patrol at OnStage!) in white embossing powder. The beautiful ruched ribbon (available in the 2016-2018 In-Colors) really steps up this simple card, don't you think?

Then I wanted to try a see-through card so I stamped on a window sheet with a black StazOn pad and added pieces of the fabulously exotic Moroccan Designer Series Paper to the front and inside. The Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim just happens to be a perfect blend between Emerald Envy and Dapper Denim, which are the In-Colors used on the DSP and on this card.

And this one is my favorite! I splattered water over the ombre-sponged background to create the Bokeh look and it turned out pretty awesome. You can download a .pdf tutorial HERE.

Classy Black & Gold Wedding Wishes

Weddings are quite personal with color themes running through the events from invitations to decorations (and even the food!) so as often as I can, I create a card to match the occasion. But sometimes they come in bunches and I just need a card NOW, so I came up with this classy black and gold version that seems to do the trick for any formal event.
You can change the words and/or colors to make it a sympathy, birthday or thank you card (all included in the Rose Wonder stamp set!). Download the tutorial and shop in my Stampin' Store for supplies to create your own.

Salt Star Background for The Kindness Projects

A friend asked for cards for a teenage boy who needed some encouragement and it was so
delightful to create something to bring a smile to someones face (I hope!):

Boys are hard to stamp for sometimes. Especially teenage boys. So I pulled out the Calling All Heroes stamp set (Item #138002...only available while supplies last!) and put on my thinking cap. I started by turning my cardstock to landscape for a different look to the circle card thinlit die. I used a 4.25" x 7.25" piece of Pacific Point card stock and didn't run it all the way through; just over the circle side and back.

My friend Lou Ann showed me how to make a starry night with salt so I decided to incorporate that into my card, too:

Start with a Daffodil Delight (or white) piece of card stock and sprinkle salt over it. Place it between the cutting pads and run it through the Big Shot on the Multipurpose Platform with all tabs closed. Shake/brush off the salt (remember to wipe off the cutting pads too!).

Next, brayer over the salt-embossed paper with a dark color (I used Night of Navy). Make sure the salt/dot impressions are pushing DOWN and your ink won't reach them, creating a starry, starry night. Add a city or space-scape and voila, the milky way appears!

A Gift Bag for the New Mr. & Mrs.

Is your refrigerator covered with wedding invitations like mine?
You need to make a few of these to have on hand: Just drop in a gift and go!

I'm kind of in love with the new Mint Macaron In-Color for 2015-2016: It's so elegant! Paired with the new Tip-Top Taupe (another new In-Color) it's a perfect marriage of color (pun intended). The gorgeous Dotted Lace trim comes in all 5 of the new hues, too. I picked up the handled-bag at the dollar store, but everything else can be found in my online store.

And if you don't have the Bow Builder Punch, order it immediately. Seriously.

Serendipity that this coincides with the #TGIFC08 challenge and co-ordinates with their colors, too:

Thanks for checking in and wishing you wonderful weddings!

Season of Love

Should love be in season all year long? I think so! Especially since my last name is SpendLOVE (I'm pretty lucky in the name department...and he thinks I only married him for his car, pshaw...)

So this LOVE-ly card could be a Valentine, a bright Springtime wedding or just because you need to spread the love and was created with one of Stampin' Up!'s new Photopolymer stamp sets called Snuggles and Smooches and the 2013-2015 In-Colors. Click on the photo for a printable .pdf tutorial!

Since I used the Coastal Cabana Markers to color the glimmer heart on this card, you could choose those as your Sale-a-Bration reward when you place your order: Use code 139923 to get them free.
